John Capo was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and started playing
Piano at the age of five. John’s music career began when he played his
first gig at the The World Famous Whisky a go-go in West Hollywood, CA.
John has worked as an Arranger, Engineer, Programmer and Producer for
Hangar 14 Studios in Los Angeles and was also a resident composer for
the independent "NuValley Orchestra", creating symphonic and chamber
style pieces. He has many years of experience as a Songwriter, Composer,
Arranger, Pianist and Keyboard player, both recording and performing
with live bands.
John's passion is playing and creating
music. He is
a member of
ASCAP
and
composes music for Film, Television, Industrial and Corporate video.
John has composed music for Farm Aid, Fujitsu corporate video, Cable and
Fox Television.
John offers
his specialties as an accomplished musician to other singer/songwriters,
assisting them with full production of their recording projects at his
recording studio
Wavelength Music.
In 2006, John produced the debut album 'Instead of Sleeping' for Adult
Contemporary band
Midnight Siren.
In addition to his
production work on the album, John wrote seven of the tracks, as well as
created the arrangements and Piano and Keyboard sounds for the album.
Following the release of 'Instead of Sleeping', the
album received rave reviews and was chosen for a
featured spot by Editor David Cole of
In The
Basement Magazine.
Each song was chosen
for the play lists of Digital and FM radio stations worldwide.
In December 2006, John completed production of 'A Walk in the Park' from
Recording artist and Songwriter
Christine Mariani.
As a Composer of Contemporary Instrumental music, John released his
debut CD
'Dream
on the Outside'
in 2007 and 'A Little
Sugar for the Devils' in January 2011.
